Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evaby tries to close the distance and clinch but Boyka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Boyka pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Evaby tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boyka swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Evaby tries to clinch but Boyka is having none of it.
Evaby fails with an attempt to clinch.

so Boyka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Boyka content to stall in guard here.
Boyka stands up and waves to Evaby to follow him.
A left and a right from Evaby both land. Nice combination.
Boyka closes the distance and clinches.
Boyka stops a takedown attempt from Evaby.
Evaby lands a nice elbow.
Evaby unloads a knee to the mid-section. Boyka lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Evaby manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Evaby darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Evaby stands up out of the half guard.

Evaby needs to keep his hands up - Boyka had a free shot at his head there.
Boyka misses with a takedown attempt
and Evaby counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Evaby clinches.
Boyka ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boyka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Evaby wants to stand but Boyka has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Boyka throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Evaby has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Boyka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Evaby is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Boyka has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Evaby is looking to defend but Boyka has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Evaby! Boyka pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Evaby taps out and this one is all over!
