Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ninja Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Bring Da Ruckus as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Assassin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Silva has a hand on Assassin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Assassin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva tries to reverse the position but Assassin maintains control.
Silva slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Nice strikes from Assassin there.

Assassin blocks the strikes from Silva.
Silva works his way to full guard. Good work.
Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Assassin stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Assassin!

Silva wants to control but Assassin postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva manages to work his way to half guard, despite Assassin's best efforts.
Assassin tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Assassin prevents Silva from improving his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Assassin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Silva is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Assassin off and has taken his back!
Silva is looking for a rear naked choke here but Assassin reverses the position brilliantly into Silva's guard!
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Silva has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Assassin has passed into side control.
Silva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Silva wants to improve his position but Assassin is controlling well.
Silva is looking to get back to full guard here but Assassin has managed to pass to side control instead.

That's time! Assassin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silva is trying to control the position but Assassin postures up.
Assassin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!
Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Assassin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Silva misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Assassin is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it.

Silva is trying to ground and pound but Assassin uses the momentary lack of control by Silva to regain half guard.

Silva stands up over Assassin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Assassin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Assassin in his guard.

Silva looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Assassin passes into half guard.
Silva is trying to control Assassin's posture. Assassin takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Silva! Assassin is rotating here... this could be the end... Silva is out! Assassin has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
