Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ninja Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukasz Szymanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid comes to the cage accompanied by Stratovarius - Hunting High and Low. Szymanski has chosen Wiz Khalifa - Black And Yellow as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid looks to land a right hand but Szymanski moved out of range.
Szymanski swats away the attempt to clinch by Kid.

Kid misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Szymanski.

Szymanski lands a lovely overhand right.

It looks like Ninja Kid has been cut.
Szymanski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kid.

and Szymanski counters with a straight right hand.
Szymanski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Szymanski drops Kid with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kid looks back up at him and smiles so Szymanski waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Oh Kid is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kid takes a swing at Szymanski's ribcage but misses.
Kid seems to have got his legs back now.

Szymanski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Nice takedown defense from Szymanski. No joy for Kid on that attempt.
Kid misses with a left hand
and Kid takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kid is defended easily by Szymanski.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ninja Kid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Szymanski misses with an uppercut. Kid saw that one coming.

Nice uppercut lands for Kid. That snapped Szymanski's head back.
Kid tries to close the distance and clinch up but Szymanski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kid pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ninja Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kid looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kid ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Szymanski moves away.

Kid keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kid throws the left hand but Szymanski avoids the punch easily.
Szymanski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kid fails with the takedown
and Szymanski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kid on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Szymanski is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kid had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Szymanski scores with a kick to the body.
Kid throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Szymanski sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Szymanski pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kid is out of range and Szymanski settles back down.
Szymanski throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Szymanski fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kid on the side of the head.

Szymanski connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Kid changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Szymanski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Szymanski is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kid's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Kid! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Szymanski has tapped! This one is allllll over!
