Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Coimbra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerimiah Curry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Coimbra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerimiah Curry! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curry closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Coimbra quickly recovers to half guard. Curry trying to control from half guard but Coimbra is working away. Curry stops Coimbra from getting back to his feet.
Coimbra makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Curry scores with a takedown into Coimbra's guard. Coimbra wants to stand but Curry is controlling the position. Curry forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Curry is looking to take a break and control but Coimbra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Coimbra looks like he's trying to stand up.
Coimbra trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's one minute gone in the round. Curry stalling. Coimbra kicks Curry off and gets back to his feet. Curry defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Coimbra. Curry lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Coimbra backs up against the cage.
Coimbra is breathing heavily. Curry closes the distance and clinches. Curry wants to stall.
Coimbra has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Curry is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Coimbra has Curry pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Curry manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Coimbra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Curry gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Curry lands with a punch from half guard. Curry is trying to control. Coimbra wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Coimbra wants to get back to his feet. Curry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coimbra keeps working. Coimbra wants to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jerimiah Curry. Curry has closed the distance and engaged Coimbra in a clinch.
Curry has hold of one of Coimbra's legs. Coimbra is fighting the takedown attempt but Curry gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curry gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Curry instigates a clinch. Coimbra has clasped his hands together around Curry's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Curry is looking for a sweep. Curry sneaks back into half guard. Well, if Coimbra is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Curry is looking to control Coimbra's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Curry avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coimbra is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Andre Coimbra has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Curry clinches up against the cage. Curry manages to pull guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Coimbra looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Curry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coimbra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coimbra manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jerimiah Curry dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Curry shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Curry showed some decent athleticism there. Coimbra looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Curry working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Coimbra's thigh. Coimbra counters though and makes it back to full guard. Coimbra is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coimbra lands a takedown into guard.
Curry wants to stand up but Coimbra is controlling him. Coimbra content to stall in guard here. Coimbra's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Andre Coimbra wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Curry drives through with a takedown into guard. Jerimiah Curry has got the better of the ground game so far. Coimbra wants to stand up but Curry is controlling him. Curry slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Coimbra is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Curry has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coimbra tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Coimbra holding both Curry 's hands and preventing any damage. Coimbra covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Coimbra is trying to get back to his feet but Curry has full control of the position and if anything, Coimbra has just worked his way into a worse spot. Coimbra manages to stand up with Curry still on his back. Eventually Curry drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Curry gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Curry wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coimbra turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Coimbra manages to end up in side control. Curry is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Coimbra asserts his dominance and retains side control. Curry is looking to regain half guard here but Coimbra keeps moving and retains side control. Coimbra controlling from side mount. Coimbra seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Curry for as long as he can get away with. Curry is trying to control Coimbra's posture but Coimbra avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Andre Coimbra will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Coimbra bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Coimbra slows the pace down. Coimbra grinds an elbow into Curry's temple. Curry is trying to control Coimbra's posture but Coimbra avoids it. Coimbra is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Coimbra is trying to get an arm triangle but Curry is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Coimbra stalls from top position. Curry taking a bit of punishment here - Coimbra scoring with strikes. Coimbra staying calm. Curry struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Coimbra slows the pace down. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. You can see the frustration on Curry's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Coimbra controlling the position from side mount.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Coimbra shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Curry as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curry has taken the fight to the clinch.
Coimbra has Curry pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Curry manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A right hand to the body from Curry.
A right hook to the body lands for Curry.
Coimbra is trying to drag Curry to the mat but Curry just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Coimbra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Coimbra is fighting off a takedown attempt but Curry is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Coimbra to the mat. Coimbra regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Curry works a leg free and moves into half guard. Coimbra wants to get back to his feet.
Curry seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Curry prevents Coimbra from standing back up.
Curry trying to pass the guard but Coimbra defending well. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Well, if Curry is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andre Coimbra. I think Coimbra has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
