Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Marley's choice of entrance music: The Specials - A Message To You Rudy. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aldo fails with a takedown attempt.
Aldo misses with an uppercut. Marley saw that one coming.
Marley slaps away a takedown attempt from Aldo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Aldo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Aldo tries to move into range but Marley moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Aldo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Aldo misses with a hook. Marley ducked under it nicely.

Marley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aldo manages to avoid it.
Marley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Aldo moves away from the strike by Marley.
Marley throws a poor cross that misses
and Aldo counters with a two punch combo.
Aldo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marley circles away quickly and effectively.
Marley moves into range and connects with a jab.
Aldo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Aldo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice uppercut lands for Aldo. That snapped Marley's head back.

Marley looks to score with a jab to the body but Aldo is just out of range.
Marley ducks right into an uppercut from Aldo.
Aldo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marley.
Marley works Aldo's body with a nice hook.
Marley leaves Aldo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Aldo is breathing heavily.
Marley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Aldo looks to land a right hand but Marley moved out of range.
Marley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Aldo.
Marley lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Marley has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Marley connects with a single shot there.
Oh Aldo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marley is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Aldo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Marley circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Aldo to the canvas! Aldo doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Marley keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
