The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guldoe closes the distance but Valuyskiy moves to the side
and Valuyskiy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Valuyskiy.
Guldoe wants to stand up but Valuyskiy is controlling him.
Valuyskiy trying to control the position from guard on top but Guldoe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Guldoe is looking to stand up but Valuyskiy isn't so interested in that idea.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Valuyskiy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valuyskiy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Guldoe's guard.
Valuyskiy maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Guldoe could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Valuyskiy has cracked it and Guldoe is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Valuyskiy!
