Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guido Mondavi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and First Last (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). First Last is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Guido Mondavi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, First Last! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Last is looking to slow Mondavi down with leg kicks. Last goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Last misses with a low kick.
Last throws the kick towards the body but Mondavi avoids it. Mondavi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Last. Last looks to land a combination but Mondavi avoids it well. Some bone on bone action there as Mondavi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Last swings for the body but Mondavi moves out of range.

Last fails to land with a series of punches.
Last swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Last. Mondavi does a little dance to reset his feet. Last cracks Mondavi with a right hand to the side of the head. Mondavi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Last fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mondavi. Last throws a head kick but Mondavi moves out of range.
A jab from Last finds it's way through Mondavi's defenses. Last explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Mondavi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
First Last seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mondavi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Last looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Last taking a bit of punishment here - Mondavi scoring with strikes. Last takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Last is trying to control Mondavi's posture but Mondavi avoids it. Last is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mondavi throws a strike aimed at the side of Last's head but Last avoids it well. Last really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mondavi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mondavi throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Mondavi taking a breather here. Mondavi looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Last is avoiding damage well.
Mondavi trying to control the action but Last is working from the bottom. Mondavi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Last is looking for a sweep. Mondavi lands a nice forearm strike. Last takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Mondavi is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Last's shoulder. That is not cool. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mondavi cracks Last with a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mondavi sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Last is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mondavi working the ground and pound. Last is trying to escape the position but Mondavi is controlling the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Last can do anything to dispel that myth. Mondavi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. An elbow from Mondavi crashes against the mat.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Mondavi scores with punches from side control. Mondavi working the ground and pound from side control. The referee asks Mondavi politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mondavi prefers to stall for the moment though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mondavi in side control, throwing shots but Last defends.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mondavi scores with a couple of short elbows. Mondavi throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Last on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mondavi controlling the position from side mount. Mondavi working the body and head with strikes.
Last is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mondavi working the ground and pound. Last is still in real trouble! Can Mondavi finish him? Last takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Check out the look on Mondavi's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big shot lands for Mondavi! That's hurt Last! Will he recover? Mondavi fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guido Mondavi!
