The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Banks is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Banks is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Johnson scores with a shot to the body.
Johnson is not content to let Banks control the position.
Banks lands a few punches from side control.
Johnson wants to control but Banks postures up.
Johnson prevents Banks from improving position.
Johnson is trying to get back to his feet.

Banks tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Banks asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Banks is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Johnson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Banks has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Johnson!

Banks takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Johnson is looking to get to half guard.
Johnson tries to lock up and control but Banks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Banks looking to finish Johnson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Johnson!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Banks tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Johnson wants to control but Banks is having none of it.

BOOM! Banks connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is in a horrible position here. Banks smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Banks tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
It looks like Banks might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Banks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A big strike lands for Banks! That's really hurt Johnson and he's turned his back - Banks keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Banks jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
