The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaneko throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

and Kaneko makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

De Santos walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kaneko fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Kaneko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
De Santos misses with the body kick
and Kaneko counters with a good, hard body kick but De Santos shrugs it off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kaneko counters with a big head kick but De Santos shrugs it off.
That kick from Kaneko tenderised De Santos's leg. De Santos is trying to keep his angry face on.
Victor De Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Whack! Kaneko lands a heavy head kick that drops De Santos. The ref tackles Kaneko to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because De Santos was done.
