Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Ransel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock Ransel has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rex Bader's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Ransel! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bader thows a body shot but no joy. Bader tries a head kick but it misses.
Bader scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ransel doesn't seem bothered though. Bader misses with a straight right. Bader throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bader scores with a jab to the body. Ransel keeps the fight on the outside. Ransel looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ransel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bader is keeping the position for now. Bader working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ransel.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ransel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bader working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ransel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ransel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ransel trying to control but Bader is working from the bottom. Ransel is stalling in the full guard. Bader preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ransel throwing strikes from guard but Bader blocks nicely. Bader looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ransel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ransel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Ransel postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bader tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ransel was well out of range. Poor timing from Bader. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rex Bader dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rex Bader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bader tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ransel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bader throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bader cracks Ransel with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Bader moves in looking to clinch but Ransel pushes him off. Ransel swats away the attempt to clinch by Bader. Bader tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ransel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ransel keeps the fight on the outside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ransel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bader. Ransel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bader defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ransel. Bader throws a head kick but Ransel moves out of range.
Bader is looking to clinch but Ransel is avoiding it.
Bader wants to clinch. Bader just misses with a punch to the body.
Bader gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ransel to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bader looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ransel wants to control from the top but Bader keeps moving. Ransel throws a big right hand that misses. Ransel working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ransel working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bader's head. Ransel passes Bader's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ransel working the head and body with strikes. Ransel is looking to advance position but Bader won't allow it. Ransel frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ransel lands a big elbow. Ransel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ransel throwing strikes here but Bader is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ransel looking to finish Bader with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bader! Ransel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ransel raining down hammerfists from mount.
It looks like Rex Bader has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bader is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bader is squirming around, avoiding Ransel's attempts to control the action. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ransel working Bader over with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Ransel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rex Bader's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Ransel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bader pinned against the cage. Bader gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bader tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bader throws a front kick aimed at Ransel's knee but Ransel avoids it well. Bader misses with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bader gets caught flat footed, as Ransel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ransel wants to control from the top but Bader keeps moving. Ransel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ransel wants to control from the top but Bader keeps moving. Ransel is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Brock Ransel has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A head kick misses from Bader. Ransel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bader tries to improve position but can't. Ransel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bader keeps working. Bader defending against the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ransel in side control, throwing shots but Bader defends. Bader is looking to regain half guard here but Ransel keeps moving and retains side control. Ransel working the ground and pound. Brock Ransel has got the better of the ground game so far. Ransel tries to advance to mount but Bader instead regains half guard. Ransel missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ransel throwing shots but Bader is blocking nicely. Ransel trying to control the pace. Ransel is looking to take a break and control but Bader is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bader avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ransel. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ransel throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Ransel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ransel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
