Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vic Odin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dai Vernon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vernon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH. Vic Odin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dai Vernon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vic Odin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dai Vernon! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Vernon - just one landing. A head kick from Vernon lands but Odin takes it in his stride.
It looks like Vic Odin has been cut. Odin misses the shot to the body. Odin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Odin misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odin throws a hook but Vernon avoids it easily. Odin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vernon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Vernon cracks Odin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Odin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vernon.
Odin misses with a straight right. Vernon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Odin to the mat! Odin manages to get full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Odin keeping full guard, as Vernon tries to pass. Vernon throwing strikes from guard but Odin blocks nicely. Vernon trying to control but Odin is working from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Odin trying to keep a closed guard but Vernon is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vic Odin. Vernon misses with a hook to the body
and Odin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Odin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Vernon counters with a good, hard body kick but Odin shrugs it off. Odin fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dai Vernon dominated that round. The cut man is working on Vic Odin's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Vernon feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Odin's calf. Vernon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Odin looks to land a right hand but Vernon moved out of range. Sloppy strikes from Odin. Those never looked like landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Odin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vernon - the referee stops the clock and Odin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vernon. Odin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Vernon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Odin swings for the body but Vernon moves out of range.
Vernon swings and misses with a shot to the body and Odin counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vernon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Odin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Vernon is in Odin's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vernon is stalling in the full guard. Vernon throwing strikes from guard but Odin blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vernon looking to pass the guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Odin loads up on a big right hand but Vernon slips the punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Odin misses with a series of wild punches.
Vic Odin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Odin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Vernon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Odin won't be happy with that. Vernon in side control, just content to control the action for now. Odin parries the strikes from Vernon easily there. Vernon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Odin to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dai Vernon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Vic Odin's cut. That's time! Odin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Vernon drops his hands momentarily and Odin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Vernon fails with the takedown. Vernon scoring well with a low kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Vernon shoots in and drives through. Odin sprawls well. Vernon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Odin. That did some damage! Odin misses the jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vernon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Odin sprawls well. Odin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vernon gets slowly back to his feet. Vic Odin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dai Vernon. Odin throws a lazy uppercut
and Vernon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Odin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vernon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Odin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vernon manages to get himself to full guard.
Odin trying to control but Vernon is working from the bottom. Dai Vernon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Vernon pushes Odin off and scrambles back to his feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Vernon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vernon moves out of range as Odin strikes. Odin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
And that's the end of the fight! Dai Vernon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Vernon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
