Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack McLumberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey DeMaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLumberg comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Jack McLumberg has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack McLumberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joey DeMaio! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeMaio shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McLumberg sprawls well. McLumberg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. DeMaio gets slowly back to his feet. McLumberg misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from DeMaio.
DeMaio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McLumberg is fending him off so far but DeMaio persists. Nope, McLumberg circles away and we're back to standing. DeMaio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McLumberg but McLumberg pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jack McLumberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey DeMaio. DeMaio fails with the takedown and McLumberg counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. DeMaio drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. DeMaio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DeMaio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McLumberg trying to control the position.
McLumberg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. McLumberg looking for a guillotine here but DeMaio defends easily.
DeMaio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeMaio thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. DeMaio wants to control from the top but McLumberg keeps moving. McLumberg has his hands on DeMaio's head, controlling the position. McLumberg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
DeMaio tries to free his leg and advance position but McLumberg is retaining full guard. McLumberg throws his legs up looking for a submission but DeMaio uses it to pass to side control.
You can see the frustration on McLumberg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeMaio wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McLumberg, who protects the arm well. McLumberg is trying to control DeMaio's posture but DeMaio avoids it. DeMaio is trying to get an arm triangle but McLumberg is defending well. DeMaio is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McLumberg knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McLumberg tries to buck DeMaio off but DeMaio is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeMaio is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McLumberg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. McLumberg regains half guard. DeMaio wants to lay and pray for a moment but McLumberg keeps working. McLumberg is looking for a sweep. DeMaio is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. DeMaio is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
McLumberg moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. DeMaio controls from within his opponent's guard. McLumberg managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeMaio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. McLumberg keeping moving, preventing DeMaio from controlling successfully. DeMaio preventing the sweep. McLumberg pulls DeMaio in to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack McLumberg. McLumberg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's going to take a lot out of Joey DeMaio. DeMaio looking to score a takedown here. McLumberg is defending well but DeMaio drives through and ends up in McLumberg's guard. McLumberg keeping moving, preventing DeMaio from controlling successfully. McLumberg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. DeMaio manages to get himself to full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack McLumberg wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. DeMaio uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McLumberg. McLumberg takes a swing at DeMaio's ribcage but misses. DeMaio shoots in for a takedown but McLumberg shows good takedown defense. No luck for DeMaio with that takedown attempt. McLumberg throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeMaio shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than DeMaio was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! DeMaio wants to finish this one by submission but McLumberg is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from DeMaio. McLumberg is trying to escape the mount.
DeMaio is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McLumberg has managed to escape the submission attempt.
McLumberg tries to get back to half guard but can't. McLumberg tries to hold on but DeMaio postures up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McLumberg tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLumberg is working hard here to advance position. Joey DeMaio has got the better of the ground game so far. DeMaio has control of McLumberg's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McLumberg regains control of the situation pretty easily.
DeMaio with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
