Santiago with a lazy takedown attempt
and Carter counters with a slapping leg kick.
A left lands for Carter.
It looks like Silva Santiago has been cut.
Carter lands with a right hand.

and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Santiago shoots and misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Shawn Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silva Santiago.
Santiago looks gassed!
Santiago shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Carter counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Santiago off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Carter follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Santiago was out before he hit the floor.
