Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitsi Fili!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abel Stamp!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fili scores with a nice strike.
Fili really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stamp looks for a takedown but Fili sprawls well.
Stamp uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fili has time to react.
Stamp takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fighters circle momentarily. Fili darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Stamp throws a series of punches but Fili moves out of range.
Stamp misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fili misses with a body shot.
Stamp looks to score with a jab to the body but Fili is just out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Fili. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fili.

Stamp is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fili sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mitsi Fili has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abel Stamp.

Stamp shoots in and bounces Fili off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Stamp wants to control from the top but Fili keeps moving.
Fili is looking to stand up but Stamp isn't so interested in that idea.
Stamp has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stamp throws a big right hand that misses.
Stamp in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Stamp wants to control from the top but Fili keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Abel Stamp wasn't active enough on the ground.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stamp.
Fili fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stamp manages to avoid it.
Stamp clobbers Fili with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Stamp scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Fili lands a right hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Stamp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fili circles away quickly and effectively.

Fili dips to his left and cracks Stamp with an uppercut!

Stamp clinches up against the cage.
A short right from Fili on the inside.
Stamp lands with a light punch inside.
Fili tries to break the clinch but Stamp is controlling the position.
Fili blocks an uppercut.

Stamp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stamp looks to land a combination but Fili avoids it well.

Stamp darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Stamp trying to pass the guard but Fili defending well.
Stamp throws a strike but Fili avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Stamp slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Fili is not content to let Stamp control the position.
Stamp laying and praying for a moment but Fili takes advantage and regains half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stamp is working for a kimura but Fili is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stamp breaks the clinch.
Stamp darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Stamp takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fili throws a jab when Stamp was well out of range.
Stamp scores with a three punch combo!
Stamp shoots in and drives through. Fili sprawls well.
Stamp looks for a takedown but Fili sprawls well.
Stamp uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fili.
Stamp throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fili cracks Stamp with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fili pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stamp looks to land a combination but Fili avoids it well.
Fili is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Stamp gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Stamp moves into the clinch successfully.

Stamp is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fili.
Fili has Stamp pressed against the cage, preventing Stamp from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Stamp has had enough of the clinch but Fili keeps him there for the moment.
Stamp tries to break free but Fili pushes him back against the cage.
Stamp wants to break free but Fili has control.

Stamp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Fili does no damage.
Stamp misses with a few strikes there.

Fili throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fili connects with a body shot that sends Stamp's belly button to the back.
Fili lands with a kick to the temple. Stamp shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A slow jab from Fili misses its intended target.
Sloppy strikes from Stamp. Those never looked like landing.

Fili keeps control of Stamp as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Stamp tries to stall but Fili uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Fili escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fili jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mitsi Fili is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stamp will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stamp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fili.
Fili leaves Stamp with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stamp ducks under a wild hook from Fili.
Fili fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stamp looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Stamp uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fili.

Stamp fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Stamp shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fili defends it nicely.
Stamp is breathing heavily.
Stamp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stamp takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Fili stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Fili can't find room to land a body shot as Stamp controls the action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mitsi Fili will probably get the nod.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stamp has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fili finds it's way round the side to connect with Stamp's head.

Stamp tries for a takedown but Fili sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stamp's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fili connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stamp scrambles back to his feet.
