Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teuvo Loman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loman kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Christiansands by Tricky. Koch is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Volbeat - A Warriors Call. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teuvo Loman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Koch! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koch misses with an uppercut. No luck for Loman with that takedown attempt. Loman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Koch looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Loman swats away the attempt to clinch by Koch. Koch tries to bum rush Loman with a series of wild strikes but Loman uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Loman misses with an uppercut. Koch saw that one coming. Loman wants to clinch up but Koch keeps it at a distance. Loman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Koch throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Loman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Koch tests Loman's chin there with a solid looking shot. Koch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Koch thuds a left hand into Loman's body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Loman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Koch tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Loman is in Koch's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koch is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Koch is thwarting Loman's attempts to control the position.

Loman controlling the position well. Koch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Loman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Koch not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Koch takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Loman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koch throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Koch with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Loman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Koch puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Koch trying to pass the guard but Loman defending well. That's four minutes gone in the round. Koch is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Loman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Koch. Koch landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Koch throwing shots but Loman is blocking nicely. Koch not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Koch is nestled in close to Loman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Loman gets full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Loman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koch's guard. Loman advances position into side control! Koch is looking to regain half guard here but Loman keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koch throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Michael Koch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Koch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Koch looking to score a takedown here. Loman is defending well but Koch drives through and ends up in Loman's guard. Koch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Loman works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Loman keeping full guard, as Koch tries to pass. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Loman is on top in guard.
Loman passes Koch's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Koch is trying to maintain the position but Loman is very close to passing his half guard. Loman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Loman is pressing down on Koch's thigh, looking to free his foot. Koch is holding on for now. Loman slows the pace down in half guard.

Loman winds up and cracks Koch with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Loman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Koch is looking for a sweep. Loman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Loman trying to control the action but Koch is working from the bottom. Koch trying to hold on to Loman's head to control him but Loman postures up.
Loman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Loman stalling. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koch is staying active underneath Loman, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Koch makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Koch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Loman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Loman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Loman is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Teuvo Loman dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Loman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Loman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Koch. Some bone on bone action there as Koch checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Loman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Koch pinned against the cage. Koch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Koch lands a jab to the nose. Koch throws an overhand right that lands on Loman's shoulder, as Loman tries to avoid the shot. Loman just misses with a punch to the body.
Koch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Loman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Koch somewhat. Loman stuns Koch with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Loman misses with a body shot.
Koch scores with a hook to the body. Loman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Loman throws a shot from downtown. Koch moves away and avoids it. Koch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Loman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Koch's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loman wants to control from the top but Koch keeps moving. Koch manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Koch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Loman is one step ahead there. Koch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Koch is trying to control the position but Loman postures up. Loman cracks Koch with a solid left hand. Loman wants to control from the top but Koch keeps moving. Loman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koch is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Koch looking for a guillotine here but Loman defends easily.

and Loman counters with a straight right hand. Loman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Koch manages to avoid it. Loman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Loman drives through with a takedown into guard. Loman is sitting in close to Koch's body. Koch has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Loman is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Loman is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Koch.
