Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Sanar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanar comes to the cage accompanied by Hot Issue. Bruce has chosen Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Drowning pool version 300 as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeffrey Sanar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Bruce!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanar tests Bruce's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sanar throws a series of strikes that have Bruce backpedaling.
Sanar misses with a takedown
and Bruce counters with a three punch combo that has Sanar backing up. Sanar nods at Bruce to acknowledge the strikes.

Sanar is looking to improve his position but Bruce isn't that keen on the idea.

so Sanar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bruce is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanar is aware though and is defending well.

That's time! Sanar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bruce throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Sanar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sanar is trying to control the action in half guard but Bruce is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Sanar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bruce is just riding it out for now. Sanar eventually gives up the hold.
Bruce is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Bruce manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bruce is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sanar defends well.

Bruce is looking for a triangle but Sanar pushes his legs off easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bruce has Sanar pulled in close to control his posture.
Sanar trying to control the position from guard on top but Bruce is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bruce shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sanar sprawls well. Sanar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bruce gets slowly back to his feet.

Sanar takes the fight into the clinch.

Sanar has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bruce is trying to keep an underhook but Sanar manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Sanar is thwarting Bruce's attempts to control the position.
Sanar is looking to pass Bruce's guard but actually Bruce recovers to full guard.
Bruce wants to sweep but no luck.

Sanar postures up in Bruce's guard and throws a big left but Bruce blocks it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bruce wants to sweep here but Sanar controlling him for the moment.
Sanar wants to control from the top but Bruce keeps moving.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jeffrey Sanar wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sanar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Jeffrey Sanar has been cut.
Sanar closes the distance but Bruce moves to the side

and Bruce counters with a nice double leg into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bruce accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bruce passes into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sanar actively working from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Bruce showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Jeffrey Sanar's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Bruce closes the distance and clinches.
Bruce wants a takedown but no success here.
Bruce gets underhooks to prevent Sanar's takedown attempt.

Sanar goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bruce prevents it.
Sanar is trying to drag Bruce to the mat but Bruce just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeffrey Sanar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee Bruce has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Bruce is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sanar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well Bruce has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
