Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reece Edward Duenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duenas's entrance music is California Gurls. A fine choice. Jones has chosen Dillinger Escape Plan - 43% Burnt as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Duenas circles away.
Duenas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Duenas scores with a punch to the head.
Duenas connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back.
Jones tries to clinch but Duenas moves out of range.
Jones tries to clinch up but Duenas circles away and keeps his distance.

Jones shoots in but no luck this time.

Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Duenas can pounce on him.
Duenas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Duenas.

Duenas throws a chopping leg kick but Jones manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Duenas tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Duenas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Reece Edward Duenas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carl Jones.

Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Duenas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Duenas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Duenas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Duenas is stalling here. Jones is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Duenas seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jones has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
