Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernard Freeley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis comes to the cage accompanied by Cry For the Moon - Epica. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bernard Freeley! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis closes the distance and clinches. Reis lands with a short shot to the head. Reis lands a nice shot to the body. Reis lands with a left to the head. Freeley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Reis is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

and Reis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jamal Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reis rushes Freeley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Freeley tries to break the clinch but Reis is controlling the position. Reis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Freeley misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Freeley drops his hands momentarily and Reis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Good shot there by Reis. Reis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reis uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Reis connects with a solid leg kick. Reis scores with a one two! Freeley had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Reis moves into the clinch successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Freeley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This has been an exciting period of action! Reis sizes up Freeley with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Freeley tries to keep at a distance but Reis has taken the fight into the clinch. Reis lands an elbow inside. Reis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Reis is pushing Freeley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A quick uppercut on the inside from Reis. Reis breaks from the clinch.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Freeley's face. Freeley staggers backwards, shaken. Freeley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reis but Reis pushes him off and we're back to square one. A good leg kick by Reis.

Reis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Reis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Reis fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Reis avoids the head kick by Freeley.
Reis has closed the distance and engaged Freeley in a clinch.
Reis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Freeley can do to turn this around? Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Reis. Freeley wants to break the clinch but can't.
