The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montana throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daniels.
Daniels looks to land a right hand but Montana moved out of range.
Montana throws a lazy body kick
and Daniels connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Daniels throws a combination. Montana tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Lorenzo Montana has been cut.
Daniels slips a jab and a cross from Montana.
Montana keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Montana misses with a combination
and Daniels connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Daniels blocks a head kick by Montana.
Montana takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Montana throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Daniels makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Montana thuds his right hand into Daniels's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Montana lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Daniels circles away quickly and effectively.
Daniels cracks Montana with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Montana with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Daniels to score with a decent uppercut.
Montana throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A head kick from Montana lands but Daniels takes it in his stride.

Montana swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Montana looks gassed!

and Daniels counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Montana throws a shot from downtown. Daniels moves away and avoids it.
Daniels moves into range and connects with a jab.

Montana is rocked!

and Daniels counters with a nice body shot.
Montana is still on wobbly legs! Can Daniels finish him?
Montana drops his hands momentarily. Daniels doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Montana staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Montana doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
