The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Smith throws a leg kick but Jones checks it.
Smith tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.

Jones darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.
Smith misses with a punch to the body.
Smith can't break the clinch.
Jones scores a nice knee to the body.
Smith tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Smith drops back down to his feet.
Smith misses with a punch to the body.
Jones prevents Smith from breaking the clinch.
Jones keeps control of Smith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now.
Oranjello Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fraklin Smith.
Smith tries to pull guard but Jones won't allow it.

Jones turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jones manages to end up in side control.
Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Smith is not content to let Jones control the position.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Smith is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.
Smith is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Smith manages to get to full guard.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Smith pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground.
Smith is trying to keep Jones in close.
Smith is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones is sitting in close to Smith's body. Smith has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Jones is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Jones is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Smith.
