Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ryan walks into a straight right hand from Soo. A head kick misses from Soo. Ryan throws a head kick that misses. Soo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ryan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Soo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ryan throws a leg kick but Soo sees it coming and checks it nicely. Soo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ryan sprawls well initially but Soo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ryan is breathing heavily. Soo content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Ryan trying to control but Soo postures up.
Soo is looking to take a break and control but Ryan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Soo sitting and controlling from the half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ryan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Soo is working away from the top position though. Ryan trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Soo manages to pass to mount!
Ryan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Soo landing punches. Soo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Soo content just to control the position here.
Despite being in the dominant position, Alex Soo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Soo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Soo stalls from top position. Soo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Soo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. A head kick by Soo misses and Ryan counters with a nice double leg into guard. Soo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ryan trying to control but Soo is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ryan passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Soo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Soo is looking for a sweep. Soo is not content to let Ryan control the position. Ryan swings around for an armbar but Soo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ryan's guard. Soo preventing the sweep. Ryan being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Soo dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Ryan has his takedown stuffed and Soo counters with a shoot takedown. Ryan fights it but they end up in guard. Ryan is striking off his back. Soo thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Ryan is trying to maintain the position but Soo is very close to passing his half guard. Soo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Soo trying to control from Ryan's half guard. Ryan has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Soo wants to get up but he can't break Ryan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan is trying to hold Soo in close to prevent damage but Soo has managed to pass into half guard.

Soo is stalling here. Ryan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Soo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ryan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Ryan just content to control the position. Soo wants to control but Ryan postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Who's going to make the next move? Ryan is looking to take a break and control but Soo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ryan wants to stand but Soo has his arm trapped. Soo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ryan is controlling him well. Ryan wants to stand but Soo has his arm trapped.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ryan tries to clinch so Soo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Soo trying to control the position from guard on top but Ryan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Soo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Soo preventing the sweep. Ryan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Soo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ryan. Alex Soo has got the better of the ground game so far. Soo advances to full mount. Soo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Soo with the ground and pound from mount. Soo tries to control but Ryan wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Soo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ryan tries to reverse the position but Soo maintains control. Soo throwing strikes here but Ryan is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Soo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Soo looking to control but Ryan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ryan is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Soo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Ryan keeping moving, preventing Soo from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Soo thows a big elbow that misses. Ryan working for a triangle but Soo defends it easily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Soo. Soo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. No joy there for Soo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ryan looks to clinch and Soo makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ryan really felt that one! Ryan blocks a low kick nicely. Soo has managed to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ryan is trying to maintain a safe position but Soo gets an underhook and turns Ryan into the ropes. Ryan is looking to break free of the clinch but Soo has double underhooks. Ryan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Soo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ryan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ryan with a lazy takedown attempt and Soo counters with a nice uppercut. Soo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ryan. Ryan tries to clinch up so Soo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Soo controls from within his opponent's guard. Soo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ryan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Soo has Ryan in his guard. Soo is working an open guard so Ryan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soo throws a sloppy head kick and Ryan moves out of range easily. Soo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Well, if Soo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ryan tries to roll over but Soo keeps him under control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Soo in particular looking to stall.

And that's the end of the fight! Alex Soo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Soo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
