Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hughek Ock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermain Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ock decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brooks's guard. Brooks is pulling down on Ock's head. It's preventing any offense from Ock, at least for the moment. Ock decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Brooks finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ock scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ock prevents Brooks from improving his position. Ock throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ock thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brooks's head. Ock not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks is in trouble now - Ock has advanced to mount! Brooks takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ock trying to control but Brooks is having none of it. Ock punching from mount but Brooks doing a good job of avoiding damage. Brooks is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ock tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ock looking to finish with strikes here!
Ock tries to control but Brooks wriggling away. Brooks tries to hold on but Ock postures up. Ock trying to control but he's not successful this time. Brooks really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ock lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ock prevents Brooks from getting the reversal. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ock is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Brooks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ock counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ock trying to control the position from guard on top but Brooks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brooks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. That's one minute gone in the round. Ock swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Brooks wants to control the pace but Ock is squirming around nicely. Brooks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brooks content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Ock tries to hold on but Brooks pushes him away. Ock regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ock trying to control from the bottom.
Jermain Brooks has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Brooks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ock swats away the attempt to clinch by Brooks. Hughek Ock is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brooks shoots and misses and Ock holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Brooks fails to land. Ock manages to break the clinch.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brooks. Brooks has closed the distance and engaged Ock in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brooks wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ock has him pressed against the cage. Ock lands a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brooks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ock is one step ahead there. Brooks trying to control the position.
Brooks wants to get back to his feet but Ock is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brooks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brooks keeping moving, preventing Ock from controlling successfully. Hughek Ock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brooks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ock won't allow Brooks to sweep him here. Brooks is trying to control the position but Ock postures up. Brooks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brooks keeping moving, preventing Ock from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jermain Brooks will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Brooks shoots in looking for a takedown but Ock manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brooks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Brooks tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ock counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brooks! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brooks can do anything to dispel that myth. Ock tries to control but Brooks wriggling away. Brooks looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Brooks is in bad spot here.
Ock is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Brooks is defending well though. Ock let's go of the attempt for now. Ock biding his time, controlling Brooks. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ock patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Ock is looking to control Brooks but Brooks is wriggling around and keeping busy. I really don't envy Brooks right now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Brooks is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ock is not going to allow Brooks to sit and survive in this position. I really don't envy Brooks right now.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ock looking for the choke but no joy. Brooks looking very determined here, making life difficult for Ock.

Brooks manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ock's guard. Nice work there by Brooks.
Brooks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brooks trying to control the position from guard on top but Ock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brooks stands up over Ock, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Hughek Ock showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ock has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
