Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Davis with that takedown attempt.
Davis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Davis fails with the takedown.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Davis checks a leg kick.
Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Diaz cracks Davis with a big elbow.
Davis is not content to let Diaz control the position.
Davis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Diaz connects with a decent elbow.

Diaz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diaz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Diaz tries for a kimura but Davis is defending well.

Diaz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Diaz landing a few strikes.
Davis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Diaz working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Davis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davis tries to get out of the position.
Diaz trying to control the action but Davis is working from the bottom.
Diaz lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Diaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Davis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Diaz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Diaz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Diaz lands a decent elbow from side control.
Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Davis is trying to work for a sweep but Diaz has mounted him!
Diaz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Davis looks a forlorn figure.
Davis is rocked!
Diaz wants to finish this one by submission but Davis is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Diaz.
Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diaz postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Davis in real trouble here! The ref calls for Davis to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
