Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mkat Twilight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Genovese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genovese has chosen Kick-Ass: Music Soundtrack as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twilight wants to clinch
and Genovese counters with a good, hard body kick but Twilight shrugs it off.
Twilight ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Genovese moves away.
Twilight closes the distance but Genovese moves to the side
and Genovese counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mkat Twilight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Genovese lands a head kick!

Twilight darts in trying to clinch
and Genovese counters with a body kick that stops Twilight in his tracks momentarily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Twilight looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Genovese stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Genovese wants it to stay on the feet.

and Twilight counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Genovese's guard now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Twilight throws and elbow that misses. Genovese uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Twilight's guard. Nice move by Genovese!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Genovese wants to stand but Twilight has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Genovese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Twilight swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Twilight has control of Genovese's left arm, preventing Genovese from doing any damage.

Twilight pulls Genovese in close to prevent any damage.
Twilight bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Genovese's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Twilight passes Genovese's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Genovese has hold of Twilight's hands but Twilight slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Twilight wants to take a breather but Genovese is having none of it.
Genovese tries to get to full guard but Twilight has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Chris Genovese will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Genovese thows a body kick. Twilight tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Twilight doesn't manage to clinch there - Genovese circles away.
Twilight shoots in looking for a takedown. Genovese tries to sprawl out of it but Twilight keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Genovese manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Twilight winds up and cracks Genovese with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Twilight seems to be looking for submissions.
Genovese keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
