The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from van Bommel.
Hare shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has van Bommel pinned against the cage. van Bommel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hare tries to clinch up but van Bommel circles away and keeps his distance.
van Bommel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hare has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. van Bommel is working away from the top position though.

van Bommel drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hare pulls his leg out and moves away.

van Bommel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
van Bommel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hare's face.

Hare throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
