Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julio Spataro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Willy Wallace was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Julio Spataro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Willy Wallace! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spataro falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wallace makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Wallace scores with a hook. Wallace throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wallace slips a jab from Spataro. Spataro misses with a lunging right hand
and Wallace counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Spataro thows a left - swing and a miss! Wallace defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Spataro. Wallace throws a hook but Spataro blocks it. Wallace tries to move into range but Spataro moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Spataro misses with a left hand enabling Wallace to counter with a crisp jab. Spataro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wallace sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spataro somewhat. Spataro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wallace pinned against the ropes. Wallace gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julio Spataro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spataro misses with an uppercut
and Wallace counters with a slapping leg kick. Spataro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wallace is fending him off so far but Spataro persists. Nope, Wallace circles away and we're back to standing. No luck for Spataro with that takedown attempt. Wallace's jab looks to have found its range, popping Spataro under the eye. Spataro has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wallace finds it's way round the side to connect with Spataro's head. Spataro throws a poor cross that misses
and Wallace connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Spataro misses with an uppercut
and Wallace makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Spataro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wallace avoids it really well and circles away. Spataro takes one to the chin there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spataro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Spataro shoots in for a double leg but Wallace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Spataro gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Wallace to counter with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spataro shoots in but Wallace avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wallace slips under a jab. Willy Wallace is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sloppy strikes from Spataro. Those never looked like landing. Wallace drops his hands momentarily and Spataro takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Spataro misses with a takedown and Wallace counters with a stiff right hand. Spataro loads up on a big right hand but Wallace slips the punch. Nice shot lands for Wallace. Wallace blocks a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace lands with a straight right. Spataro didn't see that one coming. Wallace is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Spataro had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Spataro throws a jab when Wallace was well out of range. Wallace misses with the combination.
Spataro gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Spataro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wallace as he jumps to the side. Spataro misses with a straight right. A slow jab from Spataro misses its intended target. Spataro misses the shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Wallace. Spataro does a little dance to reset his feet. Wallace lands a jab-cross combination. Wallace pivots, looking for a leg kick but Spataro is out of range and Wallace settles back down. Jab by Wallace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Spataro throws a lazy uppercut
and Wallace counters with a nice uppercut. Spataro with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wallace to score with a decent uppercut. Spataro keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wallace defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Spataro. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spataro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wallace tries to avoid it but Spataro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wallace to the ground. Wallace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Spataro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wallace.
Spataro misses with a straight left. Spataro thows a body shot but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spataro lands a body shot.
Spataro throws a series of punches but Wallace moves out of range. Wallace misses with a straight right. Spataro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Willy Wallace dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Spataro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Spataro is looking to pass Wallace's guard but actually Wallace recovers to full guard. Wallace looking for a sweep. Not yet Wallace, not yet. Spataro throwing strikes from guard but Wallace blocks nicely. Spataro in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wallace working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Spataro. Spataro throwing strikes but missing. Spataro throws and elbow that misses. Wallace uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Spataro's guard. Nice move by Wallace!
That's one minute gone in the round. Spataro wants to sweep but no luck. Wallace trying to control but Spataro is working from the bottom. Spataro pulls Wallace in close to prevent any damage. Spataro is trying to control the position but Wallace postures up. Wallace passes into half guard. Spataro tries to get to full guard but Wallace has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace wants to free his trapped foot but Spataro is holding on for dear life with his legs. Spataro desperately trying to maintain half guard. Wallace moves into full mount! Spataro won't be happy about that! Spataro wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Wallace trying to control momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace not allowing Spataro to control his hands. Wallace is hanging on to Spataro's back as he tries to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace tries to get the hooks in deep but Spataro pushed the leg off. Wallace just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Spataro breaks Wallace's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Willy Wallace was stalling too much, according to the referee. Wallace uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spataro. Wallace slips a straight right by Spataro. Julio Spataro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace misses with a straight left. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wallace drops his hands momentarily and Spataro takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Spataro looks to throw the jab but Wallace is out of range. Spataro with a poor takedown and Wallace counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Spataro dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Spataro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wallace throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. The fighters circling - Spataro throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wallace lands a right hook to the body.
Spataro scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wallace in his tracks. A telegraphed right hand from Spataro misses the target. Spataro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wallace circles away. Wallace misses with a body shot.
Willy Wallace seems to be getting the better of the standup. Spataro tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wallace swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julio Spataro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spataro with a lazy takedown attempt and Wallace counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wallace throws a series of strikes that have Spataro backpedaling.
Spataro is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Spataro shoots in looking for a takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl out of it but Spataro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Wallace manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wallace uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spataro.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spataro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wallace but Wallace pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wallace lands a jab to Spataro's midsection. Wallace fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Spataro on the side of the head. Spataro tries for a takedown but Wallace sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Wallace just misses with a punch to the body.

He turned his hip over nicely there. A jab from Wallace finds it's way through Spataro's defenses. Spataro staying out of range there. Wallace moves out of range as Spataro strikes. Spataro misses with a right hand and Wallace counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wallace slaps away a takedown attempt from Spataro, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wallace lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Wallace.

Wallace pushes down on Spataro's head and hops out. Wallace listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Spataro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace is looking to chop away at Spataro's legs. Spataro throws a lazy uppercut
and Wallace counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Spataro scores with a takedown into Wallace's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Willy Wallace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wallace has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
