Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Cornish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Bonifacio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornish comes to the ring accompanied by For Whom The Bell Tolls (Instrumental) by Metallica. Bonifacio is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: push me!!!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Cornish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andres Bonifacio!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bonifacio shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cornish manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bonifacio wants to control from the top but Cornish keeps moving.

Bonifacio drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cornish manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bonifacio has Cornish in his guard.
Bonifacio is trying to control the position but Cornish postures up.
Cornish sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Cornish is pushing down on Bonifacio's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bonifacio is fighting to maintain full guard but Cornish has managed to sneak the leg through.

Cornish seems to be working for a kimura but Bonifacio defends the submission attempt.

Cornish frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bonifacio is bucking up trying to escape but Cornish cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Bonifacio tries to lock up and control but Cornish gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bonifacio is in a horrible position here. Cornish smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Bonifacio keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cornish fails with the takedown.

Cornish will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bonifacio throws a wild left hand from mount and Cornish manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.

Bonifacio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cornish swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jeremy Cornish overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bonifacio content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cornish is defended easily by Bonifacio.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Andres Bonifacio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Cornish shoots in looking for a takedown. Bonifacio tries to sprawl out of it but Cornish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Bonifacio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bonifacio. Cornish does a little dance to reset his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cornish.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cornish is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The referee warns Cornish that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bonifacio tries to control but Cornish wriggling away.

Bonifacio goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Cornish is on top in guard.

Bonifacio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cornish manages to get himself to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cornish not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Andres Bonifacio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bonifacio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
