Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Conley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Severs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Severs will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Conley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Severs! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severs circles away from the clinch attempt and Severs counters with a series of strikes. Conley will be more careful next time no doubt. Conley looks to clinch and Severs counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Conley shoots in but Severs avoids the takedown attempt easily. Severs lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Severs ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Conley tries to clinch but fails miserably and Severs counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conley closes the distance and clinches up with Severs, looking for a takedown. Conley pushes Severs against the cage but Severs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Severs works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Severs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Conley closes the distance but Severs moves to the side and Severs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Conley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Severs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Conley somewhat. and Severs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Severs has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Conley tries to clinch but Severs moves away and Severs counters with a lovely straight right hand! Conley on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Conley wants to clinch and Severs counters with a nice body shot. Jab, jab by Severs - just one landing. Severs throws a series of strikes that have Conley backpedaling.

Conley takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Conley had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Severs lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Conley circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Conley takes one on the button. Severs paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Conley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Conley there as he acknowledges the shot. Severs scores with a jab. Conley acknowledges it with a nod of the head. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Severs digs a good body shot into Conley's ribs. Joe Severs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Conley takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Severs blocks a low kick nicely. Conley looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Severs lands with a nice body punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
