Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bill Zebub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ac Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zebub comes to the cage accompanied by Jester. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Zebub! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ac Slater! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slater throws a low kick but Zebub avoids it. Zebub shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Zebub wants to free his trapped foot but Slater is holding on for dear life with his legs. Zebub thows a huge punch but Slater dodges it nicely.
Slater is holding on to half guard well. Zebub missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Zebub misses with a head shot. Slater uses the momentum to regain guard. Slater is pulling down on Zebub's head to control his posture. Zebub working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zebub throwing strikes from guard but Slater blocks nicely. Zebub pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slater is keeping the position for now. Zebub is looking to work some ground and pound but Slater has wrist control. Zebub trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slater is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Slater is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Zebub passes into half guard. Zebub missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slater is looking for a sweep. Zebub is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Slater really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zebub. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Slater wants to control but Zebub is keeping busy.
Zebub is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Zebub thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Slater to regain full guard. Slater is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Zebub passes into half guard. Zebub lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Zebub has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zebub is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slater is just riding it out for now. Zebub eventually gives up the hold. Zebub is working for a kimura but Slater is defending it quite comfortably.

Zebub moves into full mount! Slater won't be happy about that!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slater avoids a series of strikes thrown by Zebub.
Slater is bucking up trying to escape but Zebub cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Slater is in all sorts of trouble here.
Zebub looking to ground and pound but Slater is blocking nicely. Slater wants to control but Zebub is having none of it. Zebub looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zebub jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Slater is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Slater and Zebub has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Zebub is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slater is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Zebub dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zebub crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Slater - the referee stops the clock and Zebub gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Slater. Zebub manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Zebub scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bill Zebub overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. You can see the frustration on Slater's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Check out the look on Zebub's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Zebub wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Slater, who protects the arm well. Slater managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Zebub.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slater parries the strikes from Zebub easily there. Zebub is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Slater to escape.
You can see the frustration on Slater's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Zebub creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Zebub tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zebub has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Zebub cracks Slater with an elbow. That is naaassty. Zebub tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Zebub is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Slater knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slater prevents Zebub from improving position. Slater parries the strikes from Zebub easily there. Zebub is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Slater to escape.
Zebub has hold of Slater's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Slater seems comfortable defending it but Zebub has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Slater is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Slater is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Zebub couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bill Zebub!
