The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans shoots in and bounces Thomas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Evans stands and steps away. Thomas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Evans scores a takedown into full mount!
Thomas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Evans scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Thomas?
Thomas tries to reverse the position but Evans maintains control.
Evans wants to take his opponent's back but Thomas doesn't allow it.
Evans thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Evans has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Evans looks to land a strike but Thomas avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
