Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gravy Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad El Sayed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Sayed has chosen Stand Up by Trapt as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mohammad El Sayed was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gravy Train! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammad El Sayed! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Train fails with the takedown. Train feints and as El Sayed raises his hands in defense, Train changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. El Sayed is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. El Sayed has his feet on Train's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Train scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. El Sayed tries to escape but Train is in control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! El Sayed is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. El Sayed defending against the ground and pound. Train passes to full mount! That's big trouble for El Sayed! Train jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… El Sayed is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by El Sayed and Train has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
El Sayed pushes Train away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Train gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Train throwing shots but missing, from side control. Train trying to control the action but El Sayed is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. El Sayed holds on to Train's head and controls the position momentarily. El Sayed sneaks back into half guard. El Sayed tries to get to full guard but Train has control of the leg. Train trying to control the action but El Sayed is working from the bottom. El Sayed blocking the ground and pound attempt from Train. Train prevents El Sayed from standing back up.
Train trying to control from half guard but El Sayed is working away. Train stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Train throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around El Sayed's waist but El Sayed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Train off to one side. Mohammad El Sayed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Train counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Train. Train manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. El Sayed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Train has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, El Sayed has managed to get both his arms back between Train's legs - danger averted. El Sayed stops Train from standing up. El Sayed wants to stand but Train is controlling his posture from full guard. Train managing to control the position. Train keeping moving, preventing El Sayed from controlling successfully. El Sayed wants to stand but Train is controlling his posture from full guard. Train lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for El Sayed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Train controlling from the full mount. Train jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but El Sayed manages to avoid the submission attempt. El Sayed wants to get back to his feet. Train working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Train throwing shots but missing, from side control. Train throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Train tries to move into full mount but can't pass El Sayed's legs. El Sayed is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Train is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Train is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. El Sayed knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Train thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Train is breathing heavily. Train goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, El Sayed rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Train's guard! Nice work there by El Sayed! Train working a defensive guard here.
Train pulls El Sayed in close to his closed guard and prevents El Sayed from doing any damage or advancing position. Train looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gravy Train dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - El Sayed looks like he's thinking about clinching though. El Sayed tries to clinch up. El Sayed misses with an uppercut
and Train counters with a nice double leg into half guard. El Sayed manages to escape and get back to his feet! Mohammad El Sayed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. El Sayed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Train shoots in but El Sayed avoids the takedown attempt easily. El Sayed misses with a left hand and Train cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Train avoids the head kick by El Sayed.
Train uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by El Sayed.
El Sayed misses with a shot to the body and Train counters with a nice double leg into side control. El Sayed won't be happy with that. El Sayed is trying to control Train's posture but Train avoids it. Train has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. El Sayed defending against the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Train working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gravy Train overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. El Sayed wants to get back to his feet. Train wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by El Sayed, who protects the arm well. El Sayed is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Train tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Train wants to control but El Sayed is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Train throwing strikes but missing, from side control. El Sayed is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Train off and has taken his back! Train trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. El Sayed biding his time, controlling Train. El Sayed tries to get the hooks in deep but Train pushed the leg off. El Sayed is not going to allow Train to sit and survive in this position. Will El Sayed go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's three minutes gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. El Sayed misses the jab. El Sayed throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Train's head. El Sayed gets in close and instigates a clinch. Train jumps guard but El Sayed stands there with Train around his waist. Train gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
El Sayed is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. El Sayed fails to pull guard.
Train tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gravy Train. That's going to take a lot out of him. Train manages to pull guard.
Train tries to land a sweep but no joy. Train uses the cage to get back to his feet.
El Sayed throws a left and a right that both miss
and Train counters with a nice double leg into side control. El Sayed won't be happy with that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Train is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but El Sayed is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. El Sayed is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Train tries for a kimura but El Sayed is defending well. Train looking to punish the body of his opponent here but El Sayed is avoiding damage well.
El Sayed is looking to reverse the position. El Sayed sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. El Sayed preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Train looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. El Sayed tries to kick Train off but Train keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Train looking for a takedown here - he's got it. El Sayed working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Train. Train lands a couple of decent looking shots. Train makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. El Sayed is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Train will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Train is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Train stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. El Sayed swivels though and keeps the full guard. Train trying to control the position from guard on top but El Sayed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Train drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Train jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters roll with the hold and El Sayed manages to kick Train off! Train jumps back into El Sayed's guard. Train working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. El Sayed keeping moving, preventing Train from controlling successfully.

Train trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Train distracts El Sayed with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Train landing with the ground and pound. That's three minutes gone in the round. Train is looking to work some ground and pound but El Sayed has wrist control. El Sayed wants to stand and escape but Train is having none of it. Train trying to control but El Sayed is working from the bottom. El Sayed wants to sweep here but Train controlling him for the moment. Train is in close to El Sayed's body, working some short punches and elbows. El Sayed keeping moving, preventing Train from controlling successfully. Gravy Train is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Train is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. El Sayed is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. El Sayed can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Train controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gravy Train wasn't doing enough on the ground. El Sayed missing with a left hand there. Train was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mohammad El Sayed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. El Sayed throws a right hand that misses
and Train counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for El Sayed! Train controlling from mount. El Sayed throwing hammer fists to the chest of Train. What's that going to do exactly? El Sayed swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. El Sayed wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Gravy Train showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Train, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
