Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holt comes into the arena with Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hill's choice of entrance music: Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Holt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bret Hill! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Holt.
Holt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Holt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Holt lands in his opponent's guard. Holt trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom. Holt tries to free his leg and advance position but Hill is retaining full guard. Holt trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom. Hill looking to hit a scissor sweep but Holt is one step ahead there. Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Holt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Holt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Holt is looking to work some ground and pound but Hill has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill trying to strike off his back.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Holt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hill as he jumps to the side. A shot to de liver by Hill. Beautiful body shot. Holt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Holt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hill has closed the distance and engaged Holt in a clinch.
Hill manages to break the clinch.
Hill should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Holt darts in trying to clinch and Hill counters with a lovely shot to the body. Holt is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hill misses with the combination.
Hill closes the distance looking to clinch and Holt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Holt. Holt lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Holt manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hill as he jumps to the side. Hill shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Holt's guard. Hill wants to get up but he can't break Holt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Holt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Holt is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Hill frees his head nicely. Oh but Holt has switched to an armbar! Hill is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
