Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Super Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roope Latvala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Super Jim has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Super Jim seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Super Jim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roope Latvala! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Latvala lands but Jim takes it in his stride. Jim throws a shot from downtown. Latvala moves away and avoids it. Jim throws a combination that misses and Latvala counters with a lovely straight right hand! Latvala avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Latvala counters with a nice body kick.
Latvala scores with a push kick. Jim walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Jim tries to move into range but Latvala moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jim gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Latvala throws a head kick that half lands.

and Latvala counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Jim throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Latvala counters with a thumping low kick. Jim throws a combination that misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Jim is breathing heavily. Latvala throws a right and a left that both miss. Jim takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Jim has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Latvala. That kick from Latvala tenderised Jim's leg. Jim is trying to keep his angry face on. Jim sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Latvala lands with a nice body kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Latvala connects with a high kick. Latvala scores with a head kick.
The crowd cheers as Latvala lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jim doesn't seem phased though. Latvala throws a good cross that connects.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Latvala feints and then cracks Jim's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jim down. Latvala scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Latvala is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jim had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Latvala fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jim on the side of the head. Latvala fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jim looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nice uppercut lands for Latvala. That snapped Jim's head back.
Latvala looks to land a combination. Jim sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Latvala throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Latvala lands but Jim takes it in his stride. A jab from Latvala does it's job there. Latvala throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Latvala throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Latvala throws a front kick that sends Jim stumbling back into the ropes. Jim swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Latvala counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jim is lucky that one didn't land flush. Good shot there by Latvala. A decent looking cross lands there for Latvala. Latvala keeps Jim at a distance using the push kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Latvala throws a head kick that Jim semi-blocks.

Roope Latvala dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Latvala connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Latvala works over Jim's head and body with a nice combination. Latvala dips to his left and cracks Jim with an uppercut! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jim takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Latvala scores with a hook. Jim will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Latvala throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jim's head. Latvala delivers a nice body kick. Jim is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Jim takes a jab right on the kisser.

Super Jim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Latvala lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Latvala keeps Jim at a distance using the push kick. Latvala lands a head kick. Jim smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Latvala lands a right hook to the body.

Latvala connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jim on the wrong end of a nice jab. Latvala connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jim momentarily.

Poor timing from Jim.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Latvala takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Latvala bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jim gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Roope Latvala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Jim might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. and Latvala counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Latvala throws a leg kick which misses Jim's front leg but catches the back leg as Jim tries to avoid it. Latvala scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Jim has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Latvala. Jim steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Latvala. That one must have hurt. Latvala digs a good hook to Jim's body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Latvala lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jim will feel that in the morning. Super Jim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Latvala's corner calls for a 1-2. Latvala obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Roope Latvala comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Latvala has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
