The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drone shoots in and drives through. Cart sprawls well.
Cart clinches with his opponent.
Cart trying to control the position but instead, Drone has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cart into the ropes.
Cart tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Drone throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carts head.
It looks like Eric Cart has been cut.

Cart looking to throw knees to the head but Drone is blocking nicely.

Drone being controlled against the ropes.

Drone has had enough of the clinch but Cart keeps him there for the moment.
Drone fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Cart throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Drone blocks it with crossed arms.
Drone throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carts head.
Cart prevents Drone from breaking the clinch.

Cart is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Drone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cart darts in trying to clinch
and Drone counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Drone is looking for a kimura but Cart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Drone to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Drone maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Cart could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Drone has cracked it and Cart is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Drone!
