Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lyot Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyrone Spongebob!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spongebob lands with a thumping leg kick.
Machida tries to clinch but Spongebob is having none of it.
Spongebob avoids a punch combination nicely.
Spongebob lands a leg kick that knocks Machida off balance momentarily.
Machida takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Machida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spongebob sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machida somewhat.
Spongebob dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Machida. That did some damage!
Machida goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Machida shoots in and drives through. Spongebob sprawls well.
Spongebob scores with a leg kick.
Spongebob fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Machida has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Machida is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spongebob connects with a solid leg kick.
Spongebob throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Machida.
It looks like Lyot Machida has been cut.
Machida looks for a takedown but Spongebob sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyot Machida. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Spongebob.
Spongebob throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
An inside leg kick lands from Spongebob.
Spongebob chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Tyrone Spongebob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Spongebob bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That kick from Spongebob tenderised Machida's leg. Machida is trying to keep his angry face on.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
