Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Lyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiroshimo Hiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiro has chosen My Hero as his entrance music. Jon Lyle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hiroshimo Hiro's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Lyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hiroshimo Hiro! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiro is looking to clinch but Lyle is avoiding it.
Hiro lands a jab-cross combination. Hiro lands a nice hook to Lyle's body. Lyle takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lyle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hiro moves into range and connects with a jab. A punch lands to the side of Lyle 's head but he takes it in his stride. Hiro throws a body punch but Lyle moves out of range. Hiro throws a shot to the body.
Hiro lands with an uppercut that bounces Lyle off the cage and back into rage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lyle scores with a push kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyle scores with a kick to the midsection. Hiro wants to clinch up but Lyle keeps it at a distance. Hiro tries to clinch there but Lyle circles away.

and Lyle counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hiro is lucky that one didn't land flush. Hiro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lyle was well out of range. Poor timing from Hiro. Hiro throws a nice looking combination but Lyle bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hiro throws a body punch but Lyle moves out of range. Hiro just misses with a punch to the body.
Hiro throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A combination from Hiro does no damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Nice body punch from Hiro. Hiro swings for the body but Lyle moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyle throws a sloppy head kick and Hiro moves out of range easily. Hiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Lyle is just out of range. Hiro misses with a few strikes there.
Lyle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hiro.
Hiro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lyle was well out of range. Poor timing from Hiro. Hiro misses with the combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Crunch! Lyle slams his shin into Hiro's torso. Hiro looks gassed! Lyle connects with a high kick. Hiro is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lyle rather than just go for the knockout. A slapping body kick lands there for Lyle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lyle tries to clinch there but Hiro circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hiro moves out of range of the strikes. Hiro has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lyle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jon Lyle will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hiro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lyle sprawls well. Lyle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hiro gets slowly back to his feet. Lyle looks for the body kick but Hiro saw that one coming. Hiro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lyle counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hiro's knee momentarily. Hiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lyle swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hiro shoots in and gets a takedown into Lyle's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lyle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyle throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lyle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hiro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lyle keeping moving, preventing Hiro from controlling successfully. Hiro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lyle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hiro lands a couple of elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hiro throwing strikes from guard but Lyle blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lyle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hiro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hiro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lyle looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lyle avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lyle throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hiro escapes and throws Lyle's legs to the side, diving into side control! Hiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lyle keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hiro is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Lyle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hiro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hiro working the ground and pound from side control. Hiro is looking to take a break and control but Lyle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hiro cracks Lyle with a big right hand but Lyle just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hiro working away. Hiro in side control lands a decent elbow. Hiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lyle keeps working. Hiro taking a breather here. Lyle struggling a bit here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hiro misses with the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lyle takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hiro is looking to take a break and control but Lyle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiroshimo Hiro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hiro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lyle throws a low kick, looking for Hiro's leg but Hiro calmly moves out of range. Lyle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hiro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lyle doesn't seem bothered though. Hiro throws a series of punches but Lyle avoids them all with ease. Lyle misses with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyle throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lyle throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Lyle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hiro takes a swing at Lyle's ribcage but misses. No joy there for Hiro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
