The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hardon.
Hardon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Motive manages to avoid it.
Hardon misses with a left hand
and Motive counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Big Hardon has been cut.
Motive cracks Hardon with a good jab.
Motive misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Hardon counters with a nice uppercut.
Motive motions for Hardon to come forward. Motive throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Motive waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hardon.
Hardon moves away from the strike by Motive.
Hardon looks to land a body kick but Motive moved away.
Hardon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Motive.
Hardon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Motive cracks the inside of Hardon's front leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Motive throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardon sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Motive throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hardon's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hardon duly obliges.
A low kick from Hardon is predictable there

and Motive counters by clinching up.
Motive takes a shot to the head.
Hardon wants a takedown.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hardon.
Hardon using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Motive has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hardon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hardon throws a nice looking combination but Motive bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hardon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hardon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Motive.
Motive cracks Hardon with a right hand to the side of the head.
Motive swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hardon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hardon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Motive counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hardon is breathing heavily.

Motive gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Motive tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hardon swings wildly with an uppercut but Motive uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hardon is trying to maintain a safe position but Motive gets an underhook and turns Hardon into the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Motive creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hardon has a couple of punches blocked by Motive.
Hardon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Motive struggles to land a body shot inside as Hardon controls his hands.
Hardon blocks a body shot from Motive.
Motive scores with a hook to the body.
Hardon is trying to force a seperation but Motive has the dominant position.
Motive lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hardon backwards.
Motive throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hardons head.
Motive lands a nice uppercut.

Big Hardon's cut is getting worse.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Motive lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Motive lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Motive works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A right hand to the body from Motive.

Motive breaks the clinch.
Motive misses with an uppercut. Hardon saw that one coming.
Hardon moves out of range as Motive strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A slapping leg kick lands for Motive.
Motive misses with a series of wild punches.

Motive lands a big right hand that sends Hardon crashing to the mat! Motive stays standing though and waves Hardon back to his feet!

Hardon is rocked!

Motive gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hardon is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Motive is defending well for now.
Hardon blocking some punches.
A right handed body shot lands from Motive.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A short body shot lands from Motive as the two fighters clinch.

Motive breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hardon defending well as Motive loads up on a big left hand.
Bobby Motive is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Motive throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hardon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hardon throws a leg kick but Motive checks it.
Motive tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hardon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hardon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Motive to score with a decent uppercut.

Big Hardon's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
BOOM! Motive lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hardon. Hardon tries to recover but Motive is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hardon lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Motive! Bobby Motive retains his heavyweight title!
