Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bud Macintosh could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Al Capone's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Al Capone!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macintosh ducks under a wild hook from Capone.

Capone parries the strikes from Macintosh easily there. Macintosh is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Capone to escape.

Macintosh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Capone is just riding it out for now. Macintosh eventually gives up the hold.

Capone pushes Macintosh off looking to stand but Macintosh dives back in and keeps control.

Macintosh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Capone has managed to free his arm - good work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Macintosh winds up and cracks Capone with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Macintosh has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Capone finds it's way round the side to connect with Macintosh's head.

Capone takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bud Macintosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Capone or perhaps it was just good defense by Macintosh which made him look bad.

and Macintosh counters with a three punch combo that has Capone backing up. Capone nods at Macintosh to acknowledge the strikes.
Capone slaps away a takedown attempt from Macintosh, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Macintosh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Capone is fending him off so far but Macintosh persists. Nope, Capone circles away and we're back to standing.
Capone staying out of range there.
Capone throws out a loose jab but Macintosh uses good head movement to avoid it.

Macintosh closes the distance and clinches up with Capone, looking for a takedown. Macintosh pushes Capone against the cage but Capone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Capone lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

and Macintosh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Capone's guard.

Capone makes his way to full guard, as Macintosh worked for a kimura.

Capone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Macintosh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Macintosh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Macintosh has gone for a leg lock! Capone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Macintosh's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bud Macintosh will probably get the nod.

Capone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Macintosh.

Macintosh shoots in looking for a takedown but Capone manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Macintosh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Macintosh dives in and grabs Capone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Capone pushes down on Macintosh's head and hops out.

Capone connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

and Capone counters with a nice body shot.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Capone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Macintosh tries to avoid it but Capone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Macintosh to the ground. Macintosh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Capone wants to pass the guard but Macintosh is keeping the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Macintosh is looking for a triangle but Capone pushes his legs off easily.

Capone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Macintosh keeps working.

Macintosh controls Capone momentarily but Capone frees himself.

Capone with a nice head shot there.
Capone in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Macintosh is on top in guard.

Macintosh drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Capone dives on top into guard.
Macintosh wants to sweep here but Capone controlling him for the moment.
Capone trying to control the position from guard on top but Macintosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Macintosh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Macintosh takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Al Capone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Macintosh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
