Morgan comes to the cage accompanied by Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan looks to score with a jab to the body but Schmidt is just out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Morgan as Schmidt shoots in.

Morgan is trying to move to mount but Schmidt reverses beautifully and ends up in Morgan's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Morgan connects with a nice short shot to Schmidt's temple.

Morgan throws a strike but Schmidt avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
