Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Pirzmak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Foreman's choice of entrance music: Impaled Nazarene - "Armageddon Death Squad". Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mariusz Pirzmak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Foreman! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Foreman as he connects with a hook. Foreman scores with a shot to the body.
Foreman cracks Pirzmak with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Pirzmak tries to clinch up. Foreman shoots in looking for a takedown but Pirzmak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Foreman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Foreman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Foreman tries to clinch there but Pirzmak circles away.
Pirzmak shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Foreman shoots in but no luck this time. Foreman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pirzmak. Pirzmak swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Foreman throws a head kick that misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pirzmak shoots in but Foreman avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mariusz Pirzmak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foreman throws a combination that misses and Pirzmak counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Foreman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pirzmak was well out of range. Poor timing from Foreman. Foreman misses with a series of wild punches.

Pirzmak shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Foreman lands with an overhand left. Pirzmak rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Foreman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pirzmak has control of Foreman's left arm, preventing Foreman from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Foreman trying to control the position from guard on top but Pirzmak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pirzmak looking for a sweep. Not yet Pirzmak, not yet. Foreman wants to control from the top but Pirzmak keeps moving.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. George Foreman wasn't active enough on the ground. Foreman wants to clinch up but Pirzmak keeps it at a distance. Pirzmak walks into a left hand.
It looks like Mariusz Pirzmak has been cut. Foreman moves into the clinch successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foreman manages to break the clinch.
Foreman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Foreman. Pirzmak closes the distance and clinches. Pirzmak's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Pirzmak can't break the clinch.

Foreman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pirzmak fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Foreman, pushing him back against the cage. A shot in the inside from Foreman. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Pirzmak. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pirzmak.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foreman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Foreman has a takedown stuffed. Pirzmak misses with the combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pirzmak fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Foreman to the ground. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Foreman is looking to stand up but Pirzmak isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Foreman dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mariusz Pirzmak's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nice sprawl there from Foreman as Pirzmak shoots in. A cross from Foreman lands. Foreman lands with a nice body punch. Pirzmak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Foreman pinned against the cage. Foreman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice takedown defense from Pirzmak. No joy for Foreman on that attempt. Foreman drops Pirzmak with a nice combination! Foreman dives into Pirzmak's guard, looking to finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Foreman tries to stand but Pirzmak is controlling from the bottom. Foreman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pirzmak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Foreman sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pirzmak is trying to control the position but Foreman postures up.

George Foreman seems to be getting the better of the standup. Foreman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Foreman moves out of range of the strikes. Foreman lands with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pirzmak checks a low kick from Foreman. A shot to the body from Pirzmak misses and Foreman counters with a right hand to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Foreman throws a leg kick but Pirzmak sees it coming and checks it nicely. Pirzmak thows a body shot but no joy. Foreman with a poor takedown letting Pirzmak counter with a right hand. Pirzmak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Foreman is fending him off so far but Pirzmak persists. Nope, Foreman circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mariusz Pirzmak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pirzmak slaps away a takedown attempt from Foreman, before circling back to the center of the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Pirzmak fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Foreman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pirzmak paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foreman looks to land a combination but Pirzmak avoids it well. Foreman tries to close the distance and clinch but Pirzmak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pirzmak lands a nice shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pirzmak. Foreman does a little dance to reset his feet. Pirzmak shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pirzmak showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pirzmak trying to control the action but Foreman is working from the bottom. Pirzmak wants to advance to full mount but Foreman doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pirzmak is looking to work some ground and pound but Foreman has wrist control. Foreman pushes Pirzmak off and scrambles back to his feet.
Foreman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. This has been an exciting period of action! Pirzmak keeping moving, preventing Foreman from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pirzmak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. George Foreman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pirzmak keeps the fight on the outside. Pirzmak fails in his attempt to clinch. Pirzmak is looking to wear down Foreman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Pirzmak showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Foreman.
Pirzmak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Foreman as he avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foreman throws a right and a left that both miss. Foreman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pirzmak doesn't seem bothered though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Foreman throws a nice looking combination but Pirzmak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Foreman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pirzmak sprawls well. Pirzmak wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Foreman gets slowly back to his feet. Foreman shoots in and drives through. Pirzmak sprawls well. Pirzmak looks to score with a jab to the body but Foreman is just out of range. Foreman scores with a hook to the body. Pirzmak takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pirzmak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pirzmak looking to sit in guard and control but Foreman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pirzmak has control of Foreman's left arm, preventing Foreman from doing any damage. Foreman stays in close to Pirzmak's body and controls the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Foreman trying to control but Pirzmak is working from the bottom. Foreman stands and steps away. Pirzmak gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foreman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pirzmak swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pirzmak scores a takedown into full mount! Foreman avoids a series of strikes thrown by Pirzmak.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pirzmak misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pirzmak is landing with some decent strikes but Foreman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pirzmak dominating with strikes here. Mariusz Pirzmak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! George Foreman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Pirzmak thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pirzmak is in the full mount, landing strikes. Pirzmak controlling the pace for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Foreman tries to buck Pirzmak off but he can't manage it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mariusz Pirzmak. I think Foreman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
