Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ice Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dude looks like a lady!. Ice Man has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. An inside leg kick lands from Ellis. Ellis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Man pushes Ellis up against the cage in a clinch. Ellis turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Man is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ellis has just dragged him back down to the mat. Man holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Ellis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ellis goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Man rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ellis's guard! Nice work there by Man! Ellis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Man doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Man manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ellis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ellis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ellis has escaped and now he's on top! Ellis works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ellis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Man is just riding it out for now. Ellis eventually gives up the hold. Man wants to improve his position but Ellis is controlling well.
Man is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ellis pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Man is defending against the submission attempts here by Ellis.
Man pushes Ellis off and gets back to his feet. Ellis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Man wants to clinch up but Ellis keeps it at a distance. Man looks to land a combination. Ellis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A head kick misses from Ellis. Ellis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Man lands a lovely overhand right. Chris Ellis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Man is looking to clinch but Ellis is avoiding it.
Ellis tries to clinch there but Man circles away.
Ellis lands with a nice combination. Man backs away looking to recover.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ellis was covering up waiting for the punch and Man finishes the takedown easily into guard. Ellis looking for subs off his back but Man has passed one foot through into half guard.
Man with the ground and pound but Ellis uses the opportunity to regain guard. Man passes Ellis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Man content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man tries to pass to full mount but Ellis defends it. Man is controlling the pace.
Ellis manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chris Ellis will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Ellis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ellis throws a body punch but Man moves out of range. Man bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Man bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ellis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Man wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Man is looking to take a break and control but Ellis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The strikes coming from Man are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Man wants to control but Ellis is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Man working away. Man thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Man trying to control the action but Ellis is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis manages to get back to half guard. Man is working for a submission of some sort.
Ellis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Man pulls his head out easily. Ellis is looking to get back to full guard here but Man has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man trying to control the action but Ellis is working from the bottom. Man goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ellis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Man but great work by Ellis. Man holds on to Ellis's head and controls the position momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Ellis easily slips into full mount! Ellis throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Man can't escape the position.
Ellis scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Man is in all sorts of trouble here.
Man wants to hold on but Ellis pushes him away. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ellis quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Ellis but it's paid off an Man is forced to tap! Nice work by Ellis.
