Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Karl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karias York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karl's entrance music is Dawn of Demise - Juggernaut. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
York takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Karl keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Karl wants to slow York down by chopping away at his legs.
York is trying hard to land a takedown here. Karl sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from York.
John Karl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karias York.
Karl throws a shot to the body.
Karl thumps York with a low kick.
York looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Both fighters circling a little - Karl finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
York tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Karl feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to York's calf.
Karl cracks the inside of York's front leg.
Karias York seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Karl. That's going to slow York down.
Karl connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
York is trying desperately to land a takedown but Karl is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for York.
Karl lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's one minute gone in the round.
York on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Karl cracks York with an uppercut from hell and York crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Karl's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Karl is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Karl has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Karl advances position into side control!
York seems a little lost for a moment, as Karl dominates the positioning.
Karl's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Karl decides to stand back up. Karl steps back and let's York get back to his feet.
Karl connects with a solid leg kick.
Karl displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from York.
Karl lands with a shot to the body.
Karl lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Karl darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A jab from Karl finds it's way through York's defenses.
York gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Karl lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
York takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karl feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending York crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
