Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes into the arena with Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Mack has chosen All Shall Perish-Army of the Pharaohs as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cruz misses with a looping right.
Mack throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cruz misses with an uppercut
and Mack cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mack slips a jab from Cruz.
Cruz throws a right and a left that Mack avoids nicely.
Cruz cracks Mack with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cruz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mack pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mack slips a straight right by Cruz.
Cruz moves out of range of the body kick from Mack.
Cruz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cruz jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Cruz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mack manages to avoid it.
Mack on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mack ducks under a wild hook from Cruz.
Cruz misses with a wild body shot.
Cruz on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Cruz misses with a straight left.
A head kick misses from Mack.
Mack throws a shot from downtown. Cruz moves away and avoids it.
Mack does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Mack blocks a jab.
Cruz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mack's waist but Mack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cruz off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mack connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cruz's hands.
A left lands for Cruz.
Mack uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cruz.
Cruz throws a looping overhand right but Mack ducks down to avoid it.
Mack looks to score with a jab to the body but Cruz is just out of range.
Mack throws the left hand but Cruz avoids the punch easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cruz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mack.
Mack slips a jab and a cross from Cruz.
Mack looks for the body kick but Cruz saw that one coming.
Cruz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Mack throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kale Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mack throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cruz's head.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mack.
Mack slips under a jab from Cruz.
Cruz misses with an uppercut. Mack saw that one coming.
Mack throws a body punch but Cruz moves out of range.
Cruz throws a jab but it's blocked by Mack.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mack napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mack is looking to reverse the position.

Cruz tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kale Cruz will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cruz swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mack.
Cruz connects with a single shot there.
Mack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cruz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mack was well out of range. Poor timing from Cruz.

and Mack counters with a good low kick that Cruz was not able to check.

Cruz throws a lazy right hand but Mack sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cruz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mack.

Mack leaves Cruz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Cruz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Cruz cracks Mack with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cruz lunges at Mack with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mack's hand.

Cruz avoids the head kick by Mack.
Mack throws a head kick but Cruz moves out of range.
Cruz moves out of range of the body kick.
Mack scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mack misses with a wild body shot.
Cruz catches Mack with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mack jabs Cruz right on the nose. Cruz blinks but takes it well.
Mack fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Cruz avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Cruz connects with a nice looking jab.
Mack is rocked!

A low kick from Mack is predictable there
and Cruz counters with a huge left! Mack is in big trouble! He's backing up but Cruz isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Mack from any more damage. A dominating finish by Cruz!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kale Cruz!
