The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wood drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wood in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Hammer is looking to regain half guard here but Wood keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Hammer's face as Wood controls the position.
Wood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wood has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Wood has an Americana. Hammer didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Wood is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Wood hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
