6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carl Statham! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Statham lands with a shot to the body. Statham takes a swing at Neidhart's ribcage but misses. Statham throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Neidhart has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Neidhart is looking to take a break and control but Statham is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Neidhart slips a nice elbow through Statham's hands, connecting with Statham's forehead. Neidhart is controlling the pace.
Neidhart moves nicely into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Statham parries the strikes from Neidhart easily there. Neidhart is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Statham to escape.
Neidhart in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Neidhart cracks Statham with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Neidhart immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Statham is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Neidhart!
