Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Langdon Dolwilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Slash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Langdon Dolwilt could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eddie Slash's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Langdon Dolwilt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Slash!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dolwilt closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Slash did well to prevent Dolwilt getting side control.
Slash is looking for a sweep. Dolwilt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Slash keeping hold of Dolwilt's head, controlling as best he can.
Still in half guard, Dolwilt seems content to control.
Slash regains full guard. Nicely done.
Slash pulls Dolwilt in close to prevent any damage.
Slash tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Slash seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Dolwilt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Langdon Dolwilt wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Dolwilt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Slash napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Slash lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dolwilt!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slash throwing strikes here but Dolwilt is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Slash can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dolwilt is looking to escape.

Slash lands a heavy elbow.
Slash with a couple of short strikes.
Dolwilt is looking to improve his position but Slash isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slash's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Slash has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Dolwilt tries to reverse the position but Slash maintains control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Slash tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's time! Dolwilt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Slash tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dolwilt was well out of range. Poor timing from Slash.
Slash misses the shot to the body.

Dolwilt shoots in and gets a takedown into Slash's guard.
Slash throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Slash had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dolwilt defends it easily.

Slash is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Slash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dolwilt manages to avoid it.

Slash swings for the body but Dolwilt moves out of range.
Slash slips under a jab from Dolwilt.

Dolwilt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dolwilt lands in his opponent's guard.
Slash thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Slash looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dolwilt is one step ahead there.

Slash managing to control the position.
Slash lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dolwilt!
Dolwilt wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Slash.

Slash thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Slash jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dolwilt is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dolwilt and Slash has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Slash throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Dolwilt works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Slash takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Slash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Dolwilt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slash paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Slash enables Dolwilt to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Slash manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Slash holds on and takes a little breather.

Slash has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Langdon Dolwilt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Slash looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dolwilt is fending him off so far but Slash persists. Nope, Dolwilt circles away and we're back to standing.

I've got Slash winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Eddie Slash rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
