Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Khalidov with that takedown attempt.
Cook rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khalidov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Damian Khalidov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cook throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Khalidov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Khalidov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cook sprawls well. Cook wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khalidov gets slowly back to his feet.
Cook scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Khalidov is defended easily by Cook.
Damien Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Khalidov.
Cook stuffs the takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Khalidov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cook lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khalidov circles away quickly and effectively.
Khalidov shoots in and gets a takedown into Cook's guard.
Khalidov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Khalidov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cook looking to hit a scissor sweep but Khalidov is one step ahead there.
Cook is looking to stand up but Khalidov isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Khalidov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cook looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cook looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cook!
Khalidov is trying to get back to half guard.
Khalidov looks gassed!
Khalidov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Cook is looking to take a break and control but Khalidov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cook decides to stand up, so the ref orders Khalidov to his feet.
Cook lands a jab to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cook throws a nice looking combination but Khalidov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cook shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Khalidov's guard.
Khalidov is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cook passes Khalidov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Khalidov is still in real trouble! Can Cook finish him?
Cook knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khalidov on the ground.
Cook is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Khalidov is just riding it out for now. Cook eventually gives up the hold.
Khalidov is in trouble now - Cook has advanced to mount!
Cook postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Khalidov badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Cook around the waist but Cook pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Cook is the winner by TKO! Cook jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien Cook!
