The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honda throws a hook but Flikflak blocks it. Flikflak throws a shot to the body.
Flikflak slips a jab and a cross from Honda.
Honda will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A big right from Honda misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Honda rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Flikflak counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Honda throws a left and a right that both miss
and Flikflak counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flikflak lands with a cross. Honda keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Flikflak. Keisuke Honda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Flikflak lands a jab.
It looks like Keisuke Honda has been cut. Honda throws an off balance right hand
so Flikflak counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Flikflak preventing the sweep. Flikflak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Flikflak controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flikflak advances to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flikflak wants to pass the guard but Honda is defending well. Honda tries to get to full guard but Flikflak has control of the leg. Flikflak sitting and controlling from the half guard. Honda looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Flikflak not doing much here.
It looks like Flikflak might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flikflak trying to mount his opponent but Honda defends it. Flikflak perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Flikflak's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Pedro Flikflak wasn't active enough on the ground. Honda throws out a powerful jab. Honda with a poor takedown and Flikflak makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Honda pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Flikflak back to the cage. Honda follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Honda misses with a hook to the body
and Flikflak counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Honda looking for submissions off his back. Flikflak trying to control the pace. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flikflak wants to pass the guard but Honda is defending well. Honda regains full guard. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Honda staying out of range there. Honda misses with a takedown and Flikflak counters with a lovely shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Honda. That's one minute gone in the round. Honda falls off balance throwing a combination
and Flikflak counters with a stiff right hand. Honda misses with a left hand and Flikflak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Honda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Flikflak connects with a body shot. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Honda lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Flikflak at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flikflak waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Honda. A swing and a miss from Honda. Flikflak tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Honda was well out of range. Poor timing from Flikflak. Keisuke Honda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Honda swings widly with a right hand
and Flikflak counters with a lovely shot to the body. Honda throws a combination that misses and Flikflak counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Honda misses with a takedown attempt and Flikflak connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Honda rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Flikflak counters with a single leg into guard. Honda didn't expect that. Flikflak controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Flikflak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Honda swivels though and keeps the full guard. Flikflak postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Flikflak throws a jab but it's blocked by Honda.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flikflak throws a hook but Honda avoids it easily. Honda tries to move into range but Flikflak moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Honda finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Flikflak counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pedro Flikflak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Keisuke Honda's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Flikflak counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pedro Flikflak seems to be getting the better of the standup. Flikflak thows a body shot but no joy. Honda gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Flikflak counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flikflak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Flikflak seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honda is in trouble now - Flikflak has advanced to mount! Flikflak looking to control and managing it successfully. Honda working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Honda tries to lock up and control but Flikflak gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pedro Flikflak has got the better of the ground game so far. Flikflak content just to control the position here. Flikflak looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Flikflak thowing shots but they're missing. Honda tries to hold on but Flikflak pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flikflak sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Flikflak has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Honda wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Flikflak trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Honda tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Honda working to try and regain half guard.
Honda is working hard here to advance position. Flikflak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Honda is trying to escape the mount.
Keisuke Honda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Honda stops Flikflak from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Honda can't escape the position.
Flikflak looking to control and managing it successfully. Flikflak jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Honda manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Pedro Flikflak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Flikflak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
