Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny Warner has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenny Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zack Knight!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Knight tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Warner keeps the fight on the outside.
Knight doesn't manage to clinch there - Warner circles away.

Knight pushes Warner up against the cage in a clinch.
Warner wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Knight has him pressed against the cage.
Warner is looking to break free of the clinch but Knight has double underhooks.
Knight swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Knight scores with a shot to the side of Warner's head.
Warner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Knight avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Warner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Knight fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Knight rushes Warner and presses him up against the cage.
Warner swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Warner is trying to break free.
Knight missing with knees to the body.

Warner breaks the clinch.
Warner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Knight swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Warner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knight looks to land a left hand but Warner moved out of range nicely.
Warner doesn't manage to clinch there - Knight circles away.
Knight tries to clinch up
letting Warner counter with a right hand.
Warner scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Nice sprawl there from Knight as Warner shoots in.
Warner circles away from the clinch attempt
and Warner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Warner misses with a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight drops Warner with a big left hand and mounts him. Warner is in big trouble!


Warner is rocked!

Knight stands up from mount. Strange move.
Oh Warner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A right-left combo lands from Warner.
Knight throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Knight waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Warner. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Warner to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Warner is breathing heavily.
Warner wants to sweep here but Knight controlling him for the moment.
Warner wants to control the position but Knight says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Knight stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Warner works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Warner seems to have got his legs back now.
Knight fails with an attempt to clinch.

Warner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Knight is trying to stand.
Warner working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Knight's thigh. Knight counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Warner prevents Knight from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Knight has his feet on Warner's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Knight closes the distance but Warner moves to the side
and Warner counters with a nice uppercut.
Knight clinches but Warner breaks the clinch
and Warner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Warner circles away from the clinch attempt

and Warner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Knight won't be happy with that.
Knight is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Warner has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Warner is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Knight is trying to escape and Warner transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Knight is forced to tap! Nice work there by Warner! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kenny Warner!
