Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Patino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis comes into the arena with rap das armas blaring out of the sound system. Rodrigo Patino will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Lewis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Patino! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis tries to clinch there but Patino circles away.
Lewis swings away with a body shot that misses
and Patino counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Lewis is refusing to be controlled, as Patino sits in half guard. Lewis is looking to escape. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Patino is trying to control. Lewis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Lewis regains full guard. Nicely done. Lewis wants to improve his position but instead Patino has moved into half guard.
Patino is looking to take a break and control but Lewis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Patino has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lewis manages to regain half guard. Good work. Lewis has one foot on Patino's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Patino throws a right and a left that Lewis avoids nicely. Rodrigo Patino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Patino misses with a takedown attempt and Lewis counters with a shoot takedown. Patino fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lewis wants to control from the top but Patino keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lewis seems to have locked his on tight now - Patino screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lewis, as he picks up the win!
